Please contact the LSHOA Board for review of plans for homeowner projects requiring approval. The process is not an onerous one. It is fairly informal. There is a one page form you may submit by email to the Board. The desire is to make sure that the project is well thought out, will be completed in a timely manner, has been submitted for proper building permits (where applicable) and is in keeping with the general appearance of surrounding properties and fits the topography. Click on the Covenants tab above for more detail on restrictions that pertain to ARC review and excerpts pertinent to maintaining "harmony in the neighborhood."
Laurel Springs neighborhood lies at the head of the highly protected University Lake watershed.
Streams and creeks along the nature trail are environmentally sensitive. Please take all exterior building projects through the Orange County Planning & Inspections Departments and submit a copy of your plans to the LSHOA Board. Stream buffers are tighter now than when Laurel Springs was originally developed. New projects must comply with the Unified Development Ordinance, Section 6.13.3.

The Architectural Review Application Form asks for description of your project (materials, size, height, location). You can attach drawings and /or photos.
The Board has 30 days to approve plans that are submitted in writing. After 30 days, if the Board has failed to take any action, then no further approval is required of the homeowner.
